Exodus...

...finally!

This is my fellow travellers making their way out of Stirling station...or to Platform 2 because the train we were on was going no further than Stirling...if you were heading to Bridge of Allan or Dunblane, you needed to get to Platform 2.

My commute this evening was 3 hours door to door in melting heat! The reason for the chaos...speed restriction because of the higher temperatures! It seems Network Rail train tracks do not like cold nor do they like hot!

I did a LOT of eye rolling on this journey.

The itinary...

17:27 cancelled I knew this before I left the office.
17:34 arrived...sat on this, extremely hot train...no AC...no windows open...might even of had heating on, for 25 minutes before it was cancelled because it was too hot.
Made way to platform 13...platform was packed...train came in this was late running Helensburgh train.
Platform change to platform 17...made way in the throng to platform 17
Train arrived...6 carriages...AC...result...
No Driver #fail
Fifteen minute wait for driver
Ten minute wait to be clear to leave station
Slow journey home...speed restrictions...down to 20mph for last part!
Arrive Stirling 19:42
Walk home arrive 20:08

Grateful to finally walk through my front door.
