Fisherman’s Blues

This wonderful new pair of memorial statues were unveiled on Wednesday outside the Maritime Museum in Aberdeen.
They commemorate the city’s long history within the fisheries by industry.
This business no longer really exists bar a few fish processing places.
At the unveiling there was a protest as Aberdeen Council in their ‘infinite wisdom’ have decide to get rid Victoria Road school.
This school was partially paid for by the fishermen of the time, to help educate the youngsters of Tory, the area it is in.
At the unveiling, city Lord Provost, Barney Crocket, to an unempathetic and aggressive stance against the peaceful protesters for having the audacity to spoil his moment in the sun and complain.

The fine, granite building could easily be utilised as something more for the community.
