I had some visits to make today and one of these was to Stuart, who is the curator at Ellisland Farm, Auldgirth, a former residence of poet Robert Burns.

Stuart was busy preparing for an event taking place there tonight - a concert by the wonderful Emily Smith & Jamie McClennan. (Still some tickets left!).

Another exciting recent event at the farm was the arrival of the muscovy ducklings, who were sensibly staying in the shade. Nancy the cat was keeping a custodial eye on them from the hay cart.
