The Metropole and the Grand hotels on the prom in Folkestone. Who builds such gloriously over the top constructions nowadays. Apparently the builder of the Grand was miffed about not getting the contract to build the Metropole so went out to out opulence it when he built next door . Im not sure it worked though. The Grand is on the right .
