Fried!

This rose was a bud yesterday morning.  I never got to see it opened and pretty because this is how it looked by this morning.  It's been so HOT that the sun cooked it as soon as it opened!  Yesterday two new wildfires broke out in the mountains, that makes 5 currently burning.  One of them is within 10 miles of our campground in Granby.  The good news is there will be a break in the heat this weekend and maybe even some rain!  Thanks, as always, to BikerBear for hosting Flower Fridays...I had hoped for a better looking rose!

I am grateful that we will be meeting my brother and SIL for dinner tonight.  We haven't spent much time together for quite a while so I'm really looking forward to it! :-)
