Snails

As Trentham Gardens is currently open until 9pm,  and the weather is still warm well into the evening, we thought we go for a picnic there tonight. 

We sat alongside the River Trent for our picnic and then had a stroll around the Italian gardens afterwards. The light had softened and the colours of the plants behind David Meredith's snail sculpture caught my eye.

It was a lovely relaxed evening.
