30 Days Wild Day 29 - Filipendula ulmaria

I have been hoping while I have being doing the 30 days wild that the Meadowsweet would come into flower.  During the last few days the buds have been opening.  So as we walked through the village this evening I spotted a clump in flower.

A common plant, round here particularly on damp roadsides.  The plant has an interesting history, in the past it was used to spread on floors giving a pleasant smell.  All of the plant is edible and has been used of "foods" from beer to jams.

For the rest of the day Friday became Thursday.  Having been in training all yesterday I made today my day with Kanyl.  Too hot to do much so little was done other than conversation.
