Over The Yardarm
My Dear Princess & Dear Fellows,
An unusual day today. Cazza was up at 6am, showered and ready for a date with her friend Carol.
The thing being that Carol is in Edinburgh and the two of them decided to have drinks together. Carol on her Friday night and Cazza on her Saturday morning.
She stuck her head around the bedroom door, hair done, fully made up at 6.30 and bid me good morning before heading toward the living room with a glass and two bottles of wine.
I stayed in bed, watching movies on my laptop and vaguely aware that the language in the living room was getting a little more slurred and a little more insistent.
I popped my head around the living room door at one point to suggest that Cazza MIGHT JUST WANT to eat something. I ordered her some breakfast and made her a coffee. And said, "Hello" to Edinburgh Carol when I delivered it to the living room.
It was about 12:30pm when Cazza and Carol eventually said goodbye to each other. Though both of them were having trouble hanging up by this point. "I don't know... how do you make it stop...?" I heard Cazza say to Carol.
I noted that she hadn't touched her breakfast. "I so did! I ate a sausage!" she protested. (She had taken a bite). She then insisted, "I'm going to eat the rest of that bad boy right now." Then she stretched out on the couch and fell asleep for four hours.
Jasper came to check on Cazza intermittently throughout the afternoon, but mostly we lads had a quiet time. I watched "Arachnophobia" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" and then Cazza came to.
"I feel a bit seedy," she admitted, but she seemed much better.
Since then she has been recuperating, drinking lots of water and eating her cold breakfast. I put on "Reversal of Fortune" which is a nice quiet hangover film.
Cazza is getting very good care taken of her. But that's what we do for each other. Next Saturday I am going on a beer-brewing day with Tiger and Joshua. Let's hope she has laid on a cold breakfast for me that day.
