At 9:00 am we set off down to Edinburgh. We stopped at Tesco, Dundee where we had breakfast. Continuing the journey we stopped for a walk at Cramond where the picture is taken. Lunch at the pub in Cramond before continuing to Edinburgh Airport to check out the parking and then check in at the IBIS. The room is basic and a bit spartan but generally fine.
We then took the tram in to Edinburgh centre. We went to see the portrait gallery, and when it closed went to the Queen’s Pub. A pleasant pub where we had a couple of pints, then on to a nearby Italian restaurant. Finally we went to the Cafe Royal where we had a couple more glasses of wine. Returned to the tram and the hotel. It was quite late by this time, and we have an early start in the morning as our flight s at 06:50.
