confluence

this is the kind of view that one should really sit down and paint but, as I only had 10 minutes, it was freezing cold and I forgot to pack my water-colours, painting stool, easel, brushes....I contented myself with taking a photo and making it look like a painting.

This the point of confluence of the Ljubljanica and the Kamnik Bistrica rivers with the Sava. The Sava is one of the longest rivers in Europe and flows into the Danube - which makes it unusual as it doesn't flow into the sea. The Ljubljanica is down on the bottom left of the picture by the road, the Sava flows right through the photo and the Kamnik Bistrica behind the big tree in the middle. In the background the Julian Alps and the setting sun.

Thank you to everyone for your words of sympathy yesterday, I really appreciated it. I am home again now, everyone has survived and the hand is healing well.
