Out of the Blocks - New Record

It's November and two 'C' cakes are baked (this is the first of the two.) I can't use the full 'C' word until December! This is the earliest that such cakes have been baked - not early for others who make them in October. But early for us. In past years we've made them as late as December 23rd and iced them on December 24th! Enjoyed making them with wonderful niece - in truth she did most of it. I'm relegated to a bit of fruit chopping and washing dishes. We've made them together since she was little - and some years my wonderful nephew participated as well. We had such a good time today and I know that I taught her well!
