Apothecary7's day off.

RNLI Gala Day. I usually avoid such things but we had a wander along to see what was going on round at the harbour just after 10am and continued to walk along the park and out to the mile marker where we let Fergus go in the water on a narrow strip of pebble beach. He did go in but his swim lasted seconds and he didn't seem to want to wade about so we started back.

We came back the same way and had another wander along the Gala Day stalls which were lined up along the central grass strip (with flower beds) which runs down the middle of Hall Street. We bought two plants. A bargain Hosta at £3, and a lovely Astilbe for £4.

After lunch Apothecary7 went down to the garden and did a lot of weeding in out little patio area and cleared out pots and worked in the sun for ages. I watched the F1 qualifying from Austria and the World Cup football on the telly.
