Looking towards the Chiltern Hills

We have been to a local village, Wingrave, to their open gardens day. They had 16 gardens open and we visited 15 of them. It was in aid of two charities which are supported by village activities,

Some very interesting gardens with views of the Chiltern Hills. A wide range of flowers, vegetables and shrubs, many at their best despite the dry weather.

One garden even had a 7.5 inch railway track with working steam and electric trains. There was tea and cakes at strategic points so it has been a real summer's day outing.
