Village Fete

I walked down to the hall this morning with my photos only to find that I should read things more carefully. I did meet 2 women from the macular society support group, I didn't realise there was one so I may go to their meetings. It was really interesting talking to them as one had been through the same as me. Today is the fete only and the show is in August!!!! This year is the first year that they are separate. I went back after lunch to help out on the in bloom stall. It was great to see lots of people about. There were lots of stalls, races for the children, a climbing wall, ice cream, music and more. The girl singer was brilliant. One of the boys on the wall is my neighbour and he's only 5. I loved the fact that the new curate at the church is the vicar's wife and wore her dog collar with her sun top. She's in the photo with Margaret our in bloom 'commander'.

The smoke is back from the fire at winter hill and my sister has just told me there is a fire on the sand dunes near Blackpool. Its no wonder we have a shortage in the North west lots is being used on the fires, hope they get them under control. Lots is still lost due to leaks. My friend reported a leak on a road over a month ago and its still not been fixed so I reported it again. It's annoying when we are almost on rations!
