Red-Tailed Hawk

Went out and about with Kent this morning and first thing we saw this Red-Tailed Hawk beside the train tracks.  We back-tracked and it had moved to the center of the tracks (see extra) 

I told Kent that I knew we were sure to see other wildlife but after that it would all almost be an anticlimax!  

Even though we started out early in the morning, I found the heat hard going but the breeze created by buzzing along on the ATV made it tolerable.  It was so nice to be outside.

The heat did do me in and I haven't gotten a thing done this afternoon - in fact I dozed off for a bit.
