Rosebank Distillery
In the foreground ot one side of the canal is this Corten Steel sculpture of a whisky bottle, and directly opposire on the other bank is the derelict Rosebank Distillery.
The Distillery got its name from the wild roses growing along the banks of the canal. It closed in 1993. There were plans to turn it into a commercial centre perhaps incluing houses or shops, but recent stories suggest it will reopen as a distillery - again producing Rosebank Lowland single malt Scotch.
