Digging a hole, hole in the ground...

if you've been anywhere in north-west Cumbria you are almost sure to have seen apparently random 30 mile an hour signs and acres of disturbed ground. It is all in aid of a pipe which is being laid. Today we saw some evidence that it is actually happening - but I am still not much the wiser. I should have put something (Chloe?) beside the pipe to give an idea of scale - it's vast!
