Lyrebird breakfasting
A lovely start to the day today today. Looking out the window on a very bleak morning I was able to watch a lyrebird who had ventured up from the bush to scratch around for it's breakfast. They are a rare sight and a unique Australian bird, known for their ability to imitate. I think this may be the female as the tails of the males are distinctly like the shape of a lyre.
