Sydney
This is a view of Sydney from the Opera House.
I couldn't get a clean shot of the Opera House itself as there are so many tourists (of which I include myself in this) but no one wants this shot apparently. Maybe there's a reason for this?
Still, I quite liked it.
I have walked by feet off today and as I decided to head home with burning feet, I got off the train and the sky was looking pretty black. The heavens opened and I had very loud claps of thunder and flashes of lightening over my head for the whole 20 minute walk. I was drenched... again. I don't think I get this wet in the UK! As I got home and put on the telly, the met office was issuing severe weather warnings for NSW and especially the South Eastern parts of Sydney. I don't think they can call it a prediction when it's actually happening. There was certainly no warnings when I left this morning!
p.s. the roof of the Sydney Opera House is tiled.... I hadn't expected that!
