Oregon Coast VIII: Post-Apocalyptic

Here the combination of the fog, an old felled tree and the surf combine to make the scenery look post-apocalyptic.  This isn't far from the truth: an area has been found where a large forest near the coast suddenly died--possibly from a powerful tsunami.  There are also abundant lava fields visible, as this whole region has many volcanos like Mount St. Helens.
