Menagerie

This furry wonder - identified as an elephant hawkmoth by Old Herbaceous who was conveniently passing through - came into the kitchen late last night and has been keeping us company ever since. 

A much less appealing furry beast, which will need dealing with, has also been scuttling about for the last 24 hours, but mercifully outside.

And today, as I alternated digging up tenacious weeds (and glass and bits of mortar and stone) with recuperating in the hammock, a baby robin perched above me eyeing up the worms.
