Ezone Day

Today in Nursery it was our Ezone Day with the parents.( We have a huge environment zone behind our school which we use regularly and is also open to other schools in the local area ). We went down in our Key worker groups and took it in turns to do different activities:
Pond dipping where the children and parents used the nets and some trays to find the different creatures living in the pond. We found newts, snails, waterboatmen and leeches.
Bug Hunting where the children and patents spent time hunting under logs, bricks, stones and bushes we daw bitterflies, beetles, bees, woodlouse and even a ladybird.
Colour Hunt and Tree Climbing the children were each given a piece of card with a strip of double-sided sticky tape the children had explore the zone looking for different colours of nature and stick them to their card. We had a fantastic day although it was a little bit to warm.
