Big Red Hips!
Rosa rugosa is one of the oldest varieties of rose, often used for hedging. Though it bears big scented flowers, I like them best at this time of the year when these giant rosehips form.
Today was so grey (like living inside a dirty old sock) so when these hips caught my eye in the gloom, I knew they would make a bright and cheery blip.
