Wapiti

I had been told by a friend that there was a unique farm north of here that I wanted to see. It is an elk ranch (wapiti) and I have not seen any elk since I lived out West so it was exciting to see some again.  Sadly, it was very hot and they were all very bothered by flies.  Thankfully, they were not bothered by us!  One big bull, lots of lovely females, and so many spotted calves....a delight!

Further down the road was herd of bison on a farm. The bull was massive! See extra.
