Rays of luxury

Today we went to Solvalla in Nuuksio nature reserve.

The temperature was about -2°C, so the damp earth had a frozen crust, when I stepped on the moss it was crunchy but soft underneath.
The air was crisp and the woods earthy and fresh, it was so quiet that when we were still the only noise was a distant aircraft.

We took a small thermos with us and enjoyed a couple of cups of tea by a small lake. The sun was low and painted its subtle light on the sleeping landscape.

I'm happy to have Rob back from England, it has been a perfect day - luxury I'd say.
