A new treasure
The clearing of our Augean stables loft continues and a new forgotten treasure has emerged. This time a 400 mm Pentax SMC Takumar lens! It has a screw mount but I have sourced a gizmo that allows me to connect it to my Canon. This photograph of perennial cornflowers was taken at a distance of 30 feet and I am well pleased with the results. The only drawbacks are that the focussing is manual and it being made of metal rather than plastic it weighs a ton!
