Between fen and mountains

This is not a river!

Many thanks for all the hearts and stars on my 365th blip yesterday. They were very much appreciated.

The South Forty-Foot Drain, also known as the Black Sluice Navigation, is the main channel for the land-drainage of the Black Sluice Level in the Lincolnshire Fens. I find these dead straight waterways quite eerie. The South Forty-Foot Drain is also known as the Black Sluice Navigation and is the main channel for the land-drainage of the Black Sluice Level in the Lincolnshire Fens. The Drain has its origins in the 1630s, has been navigable in the past and may be again soon in a plan to open up the waterways for leisure. I think I would find cruising these sunken waterways a bit boring. Great for fen skating though when we have the next big freeze!
