Fairies

We once took the children to a holiday attraction where, scattered around the grounds of a once grand house, were small, wooden fairy houses and you could look through tiny windows to see fairy families eating and working. The kids loved these voyeuristic glimpses - the more mundane, the better. The highlight was a tiny old-man fairy who was reading a newspaper whilst sitting on the toilet.
