Mevagissey

The Mevagissey Fish Feast Festival is on this week.

It's not, as you might think, a festival about eating the delicious and abundant fish of the area which are brought in by the many fishing boats in the harbour, but about giving thanks to the sea for the work it provides the village.

Pity, I was hoping to sample a Ray Wing or John Dory slathered in butter and pan fried on the harbour wall.  The weather was certainly hot enough to cook on the harbour wall.

The morning was taken up with me daydreaming my way through the Lost Gardens of Helligan and being rudely interrupted by the constant hayfever sneezing of my companion.
