Caper flower

I came down from the mountains to Fiesole. It was baking at 30C at 19.00 in Le Sieci. Later I walked down the steep hill to the pizzeria at San Domenico. The caper plants growing out of the west facing walls were blossoming.

The heat is at times overpowering and past noon outdoor work in the full sun is, at least for me, impossible until 16.00 or 17.00. The last two days have been unbearably humid. Storms now forecast for the weekend. Thankfully no hail here yet.

Felt slightly shredded today after the agony and brief ecstasy of the England game last night.
