Reflections

This is a section of the massive stone wall which surrounds the church. There was a church on the site in the 11 century and the tower is 15 century but what was left was rebuilt in the 18 30’s

It’s when you think of time in terms of centuries it make you think of how small and insignificant we are. I’ve used the quote before but it brings to mind
Nothing matters very much and most things don’t matter at all.

The issues which bother us today will soon be as though they had never been
