Under and Over

Another scorching day on the canals. We finished the Caldon Canal and we were joined along the way by Graham Colling (his entry here) for a fun couple of hours. Before departing, he very kindly bought us a round of ice creams - thanks Graham.

We then set off along the Trent and Mersey canal passing through much more civilisation and industry than we’ve been used to the last few days. In the blip you can see our boat about to duck under the mainline that passes through Stoke. Some tricky bits of engineering!

We stopped overnight in Stone and a fabulous dinner at a local Italian was enjoyed by all.
