Two Ships For The Price Of One
A fabulous day at sea meant hunting around the ship for photo opportunities rather than looking at the delights of Norway.
I found this shot by bending down and looking along the handrail and noticed the reflection of the funnel stack in the glass safety screens and liked the symmetrical shot it gave me.
I also got a shot (in extras) looking forward along the ship from the side showing the nice gentle wash of bow waves. We are only doing fifteen knots today as opposed to the twenty one on the first day that produced such a huge wake.
Finally, I liked the stark white of the communication mast against the blue sky - also in extras.
Next port of call (tomorrow) is Bodo - which is inside the Arctic Circle.
Many, many thanks for your comments on my journal, I feel like a bad blipper as I have not been able to read / comment on your journals as, despite there being ‘nothing’ to do, our days seem filled with activity (mostly walking from one end of the ship to the other). Have seen two lectures today, one from a landscape photographer (Sir Malcolm McGregor) and one from Johnny Beerling (former Radio One producer) about the origins and history of the DJ!
Afternoon tea looms - another great time bandit!
