Indoor jobs this morning then I took my lunch into the garden and sat on the bench in the sunshine.

30 minutes later the sky clouded over, though it did brighten again. I had a short walk towards High Sweden Bridge. The combination of unfitness and the heat made me turn back just uphill from where I took this photo. There's a bit of Windermere visible between the barn and the tree. 

More evidence today of a hedgehog in the garden, though there's a worrying absence of bees, hoverflies and butterflies in my flower beds.
