Europa

After a 46 day off season, my 18/19 football year is up and running with a visit to Belle Vue, home of Rhyl FC, for the second leg of a Europa League Preliminary Round fixture between Bala Town (Wales) and Tre Fiori (San Marino).

I met Brother #2 at the ground and we settled in to see if Bala could make some inroads into the 3-0 first leg deficit. Tre Fiori were proving resolute in defence though and it wasn't until the 76th minute that Bala broke the deadlock. They continued to press, but no more goals were forthcoming, so that is the end of Bala's European adventure for another year.

Earlier, the Rhyl gulls came to watch me eat my tea (extra).
