A first for Stirling University

My friend Maria Craig, who directed the award winning student documentary film “Hear Me Now” popped up this afternoon to show me the trophy she was awarded recently by the Royal Television Society annual awards, in the British Film Institute.
 

It is the first time Stirling University has won this award, which is based on my book “The Children of Craig-y-nos”.


I was one of the lucky ones, one of the first to benefit from the NHS and the miracle drug streptomycin, offering a cure for TB.
