Secret Views

Drove from Cromer to Whitby today. Lovely campsite, very farm-y area with beautiful views of a long coastline and pretty villages.

After the journey and tent-pitching we hiked the short journey down fields into Robin Hoods Bay, absolutely beautiful little place!! Bertie would love it here, stretches of just land and sand and sea and loads of farm smells.

Grabbed a drink at a pub just by the harbour bit then headed up to find some fish and chips. Unfortunately we JUST missed the closing time of the famous Fish Box at the top of the very steep walk back up the hill, but accepted defeat and instead returned to the original pub for a traditional pub fish and chips instead. No complaints, it was soooo lovelllyyyyyyyy.

After supper we went back to our tent where we sat outside and enjoyed some drinks with a few hilarious games of “heads up” on my phone since we’d forgotten our cards and bananagrams alternative.

There’s a massive group of school kids camping in the field below us, they’re pretty noisy but sound like they’re having the loveliest time. It’s so nostalgic listening to them giggle away with little lights going on and off now and again.

Later on dad said he fancied a walk so I offered to join him - - we ended up in another pub for a nightcap, but it was lovely getting some personal dad catchup time.

Still can’t get over how hot it is at the moment, I love the sun and this heat! Definitely should be living in a hotter country I reckon.
