Waiting in anticipation

Back at the end of April we attended an event raising funds for St Peter’s Church in Boughton Monchelsea where we had the very good luck to win the star prize of a meal for two at the Stilebridge pub - which is also where we go for our monthly folk evening.

We finally got around to having the meal today and very good it was too. I had Tempura Vegetables followed by a full rack of ribs while Susan had whitebait then fish pie. We had a very pleasant evening indeed.

Meanwhile, on the Home front I think I finished installing the alarm system st Doreen’s that David had started but was not able to commission as the was a problem with the phone line and broadband. We should be able to test it tomorrow.

Earlier in the day I want for another dead slow run, I thought it should have been better but we had been on that cycle ride only a couple of days earlier. There were showers all around us today and rumbles of thunder; unfortunately we remained dry.
