SWALLOWTAIL
Surprise, surprise!
A cloud cover in the morning. So we did not go swimming in an outside swimmingpool, as we had planned yesterday. A quiet morning, doing simple things.
After lunch a nap, and then we choose for our walk going down the hill, following the Unter den Klippen street, and there we saw her enjoying the Buddleia flowers. A hugh bush grew there in the garden.
We stayed quite a long time trying to take photos. I with my macro lens, not an easy task, while the butterfly, trying to avoid us, kept at the far side of the Buddleia.
The sun shone heavily/heavenly, and now and then a fierce wind shaked the branches. At some point we continued our walk to the Weser, and walked the path along the river. In the shadow of some trees we sat down, but soon an insect stung Piet Hein, and we moved on.
On our way back we were curious if we would see the Swallowtail again, but no, she had gone already.
The flowers of our Buddleia are still minimal, but I do hope to have visitors like this one soon. I think it has been three years since we had seen a butterfly like this one.
Tomorrow Saturday the 7th of July another Silly Saturday Challenge.
