Lavender and bee

One of the nicest things about our new garden is the lavender hedge around the patio. It's a lot bigger and fuller this year than last (though I hope it doesn't get any taller next year). It's only just coming into flower, but already we are getting loads of bees, and butterflies too.

Managed to do some gardening today, but it's still too hot to get a lot done.  Had my haircut too, so quite a productive day.
