Chinchilla sitting

This is one of my eldest daughters nine (yes nine!) Chinchillas which I am currently looking after as she is away visiting friends in Poland.

Most evenings they get out for a run about and I spent half an hour this evening, having let them out, then trying to round them up again, no easy thing as they can sure move fast! They are beautiful and their fur is like velvet to touch, which is no doubt why they used to be bred for making fur coats - does n't bear thinking about really.

As much as I love them I will be very glad when daughter is home and takes over control of them again!

Although they all have names I have no idea which one this is in my blip as they all look pretty much the same to me!

Off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a few days away with hubby so the Chinchilla sitting will then become the responsibility of daughter No 2!
