Treat Moment!
Breagha and I are having a little bonding moment on the steps at lunchtime today. Her colour now, after her trim, or rather shearing cos there was so much fur on the floor it reminded me of a sheep losing it's winter coat, I am calling palomino, like the horse. She has lost her wig too and her little toes look like a bambi.
Every time I go down to get her trimmed, it reminds me of the evening we drove down to Inchture to collect her. I remember we were listening to Chris Evan's Drivetime and I had sent a text it to the show, as there was a segment where you had to say what you were doing that evening. I sent something along the lines that my husband and I were just so excited as we were going to pick up our brand new 8 week old golden cocker spaniel puppy called Breagha. She was this small bundle of fur, so adorable we fell in love with her straight away.
We had our work cut out though as she was a bundle of energy (not changed), playful, (still is) destructive (not now thankfully) full of cheek (yes Breagha you still are), but you know what, the four years of pleasure this wee dog has given the whole family with her antics and her unconditional love, I could not imagine these big brown eyes looking up to anyone but us. So glad we chose her, as there was a black one that we almost took instead.......
I'm sure everyone who has a cherished pet will think the same thing as I do.
Love my wee darling dog.
