Hooded Oriole

Chattering about with a female, I caught this male Hooded oriole flitting back-and-forth in the trees. Both acting as if it were spring all over again!

...and then, I spy a young male on a branch nearby. Here's the possible reason why the male and female were flitting about - they were celebrating (and teaching) their newly fledged chick. They get big quickly. The adults are a little bit bigger than a Robin. This extra guy was a little less colored and smaller. Also, a bit more "puffed" out - typical with new birds.

Enjoy!
