DROUGHT

Much talk of drought. Here is some dramatic evidence.

This is Common Butterbur. At this time of year these Rhubarb like leaves should be upright and between four and five feet tall.

But it takes a lot of water for this large patch to continue to grow and to maintain its rigid structure.

I can recall just one night time downpour in May. But since the beginning of June there has been nothing. There is nothing significant in the forecast for the next ten days.

How ironical that we are changing the world’s climate by producing too much carbon dioxide and yet there is not enough of it to make another bottle of Lemonade.
