A glut

The weather has been so warm that Cathleen is experiencing a glut of some vegetables in the polytunnel, especially courgettes.

She wsa blanching today's crop tin the kitchen  early this afternoon and I thought this looked very colourful as well as very seasonal.  They are delicious too , of course - I like them best very thinly sliced and just shown a hot pan with a little olive oil,

I was trying to cut the grass on what was meant to be the first day of my break but I spent much of the morning doing my day job  , including  recoding two Skype TV interviews from the conservatory. 

As a former TV producer I find it amazing that I can now do such things to broadcast quality  with a phone or iPad from my house - changed days.
