Meadow Brown
..on Field Scabious (Knautia arvensis)
Got up early and did some tidying in the garden before it got too hot. This, of course, is really when I should have been taking the camera out, but for some mad reason I decided to do that later.
I blipped this up in the West Hill Cemetery, which is now being managed as a small in-city wildlife site. Very pretty it is too!
And.. had the oddest experience coming back home, which I'm sure some of you will have shared. When I went to get cheese and milk the supermarket was empty - I mean empty! And although there were quite a few people in the High Street and on the bus, they were all women. Except, that is, for the bus driver, but he said he didn't mind, being a rugby man himself.
Can't guess where the guys were (and quite a few of the girls too). No, okay, I won't say anything else on the subject..
Happy Saturday evening to you all xx
