Wallflower
Back blipped for Flower Friday.
As we were staying close to Croome and Gill was keen to see the walled garden we made a second visit - and were very glad we did - it was fantastic.
Good for anyone with an interest in plants, but also good for sad science part people like me as it is slowly being restored to it's former glory and much of the original heating and water systems are there to be seen. Two in the extras, one from a window sill in what might have been accommodation for the gardeners and a panorama of the whole garden.
Well worth seeing, £5 extra as it is not entirely owned by the trust.
Go early if on a hot sunny day. Alternatively - stand next to one of the walls on a hot sunny day and enjoy a free physics lesson on radiant heat :-)
If neither gardening or science float your boat, you'll very very likely appreciate the sculptures dotted about the site!
