While most football fans were watching England beat Sweden I was at the Deva Stadium with around 4000 others watching Chester's first pre-season friendly against Liverpool.

Unsurprisingly it was a complete mismatch as Liverpool brought along a strong squad and gave debuts to two new signings Fabinho and Naby Keita, at a total cost of £95 million. Meanwhile Chester gave debuts to their less high profile free signings from the likes of Colne, Chorley, Trafford and Ashton United. 

It was essentially an exhibition match with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and James Milner amongst the goalscorers for Liverpool in a 7-0 win.

My main blip shows Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and James Milner before kick off while the extra shows £55 million pounds worth of footballer in Naby Keita. Klopp was a credit to the club and I was very impressed that he was happy to sign autographs and talk to Chester staff and supporters
