Lovely weather ...for bees

When will this heatwave  break? It is now 10.30pm and 82.4 degrees. I have a fan next to me and my feet are in a bowl of cool water. The garden is dead and the car is filthy. I am tired and irritable and the cat is miserable.
I know that many people in other countries are used to this sort of heat (Denise and Shirleyray to name just 2) but we delicate Brits are just not used to it.
I also know that in 4 months time I will be complaining about how cold it is!
Rant over as I am now off for another sleepless night.:)
