Mrs Woodduck and baby

I was going to title this "I'm molting!!!" . Then I realized it was a female. She was looking a little ragged but I suspect that was as much from watching over her brood as losing feathers. Had a lovely day - spent the AM at Sapsucker woods - which was pretty quiet except for the catbirds, robins and blackbirds. Then a couple of Finger Lakes Wineries and lunch , then home.Beautiful sunny not humid weather!
